Dog Food Comparison - Compare Ingredients Before Choosing a
Food
Not everyone is worried about the health of their dog. Actually it amazes me how many people don't
really give it a thought and simply buy whatever is on sale at the grocery store or discount store, or even
the feed store. So these people are not going to be doing any dog food comparison unless it's
a comparison of which is cheaper.
I don't think anyone reading this is going to fall into this category. Those people who buy anything that is on
sale aren't online researching dog food at all.
Sometimes though, people are misinformed. They may be buying a dog food at the grocery store that they think is
healthy for their dog. Maybe they've seen an ad on TV or in a magazine that indicates what they're buying is a very
good food. They might even be paying extra for it.
For example, Science Diet is not a very good food. Some of you may be shocked to hear this. But go ahead and
compare ingredients of Science Diet to a higher-end food such as Innova or a similar food. You'll find that Science
Diet has a lot of corn. I don't even feed my horses that much corn as it's not the best of ingredients. Now, years
ago, when Science Diet first came out, their formula was pretty good. But then the company was bought out and the
ingredient panel went downhill.
So don't always trust the ads you see. They are in it to make money, so they are going to tell you to buy their
food. They may even put pictures of all kinds of healthy-looking food on the bag. Have you seen these foods? There
are a few in the grocery stores like that, you would think these are full of the most awesome organic healthy
ingredients. However, be sure to read the ingredient list. You may find the pictures on the bag are misleading.
When choosing the best dog food, comparison of ingredients is of paramount importance.
